Bushmills 16 year old single malt whiskey is aged for 16 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry and bourbon-seasoned casks, then matured for several months in port wine barrels. This unique maturation process gives this single malt its distinct notes of juicy fruits, nuts and spice.

Bushmills Finest
Bushmills selects only the finest casks to mature the range of single malt whiskey. The Master Blender uses a range of casks to achieve the unique Bushmills flavour profile, including ex-bourbon, sherry and port casks.

• An ex-bourbon cask, the colour will be light, sweet and vanilla-like to taste.

• An ex-sherry butt, the colour will be much darker, and have a richer, dried fruit, nutty flavour profile.
