The main constituent of lemon oil is limonene.

Dilution

Orange oil is highly concentrated, dilute with a carrier oil, also called vegetable or base oils such as jojoba, coconut oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, avocado oil, borage seed oil, carrot oil, corn oil, hazelnut oil, evening primrose oil, soya bean oil, sunflower oil, wheat germ oil, sesame oil, safflower oil and peanut oil (Arachis nut) olive, or grapeseed oil to use on skin.

Side effects

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) certified as generally safe. Orange oil is phototoxic: Its use on the skin should be avoided if there is the danger of exposure to direct sunlight.
