Opera Dzintars Perfume by Dzintars, A little romance combines with a little desire in opera dzintars, a floral/woody/musk-family scent that will take you through the night, from first impression to a last kiss goodbye. This fragrance offers a little spice mixed with light floral scents. Top notes open with green notes and lemon blossoms, fading to middle notes of lily, jasmine and freesia. Base notes provide a background of cloves, sandalwood, musk and peru balsam. Dzintars is a latvian perfume maker with roots dating to 1849. Established as a soap and perfume factory in riga, the company used ready-made compositions from france for its products, which also included candles. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, several small perfume and cosmetics manufacturers sprang up in various latvian towns. Many of these companies were nationalized and combined in 1940, the beginning of several reorganizations and re-namings that came throughout the ‘40s. In 1951, the factory known as metra was renamed dzintars, which today is one of the biggest manufacturers of perfume and cosmetics in northern europe. Opera dzintars was launched in 2012 and is one of more than 200 fragrances by the perfume maker. It comes in a beautifully sculpted, weighty bottle that is a rich pink/purple at top, fading to clear at the base. It is capped with that same rich pink color
